Kate is an award-winning visual storyteller who has worked internationally for over a decade. Her still photos have been widely published in print and online publications. Kate's work is known for its graceful blend of clean aesthetics, its mastery of natural light and its well-rounded approach-- capturing layered moments that blend into heartfelt memories.
As a fine art photographer, she produced a special series of portraits in Iceland, of people in the water, under the tutelage of renowned documentary photographer Mary Ellen Mark.
As a filmmaker, Kate's first short film, The Larger Net, premiered at DOC NYC and screened nationally at festivals. Kim Swims is her first feature documentary (director & producer). To date, the film has screened internationally at over a nineteen film festivals and counting, has been honored with several Audience Favorite awards, an award for Best Director, and has featured as the Opening Night film at several prestigious events.
